Tharpu Peak (Tent Peak) Climbing

View after Tharpu Peak Tent Peak Climbing

Walking through the picturesque Annapurna Base Camp route, if one has an intent to do something intrepid, they can see the Tharpu Peak patiently waiting for their arrival.  This noble mountain lies south of the Annapurna Base Camp with a relatively low height of 5663 m. But the low height does nothing to lessen the difficulties the Peak present to its climbers. The Tharpu Peak is famous amongst the climbers as one of the trekking peaks which requires technical knowledge to successfully complete its ascent in addition to the peak physical fitness. Having a significant portion of ice and snow in the peak with equally large portion of steep slope, the Tharpu Peak provides a thrilling adventure to its climbers.

In addition to the euphoric feeling, the expedition gives climbers a benefit of slow trekking through the scenic Annapurna Base Camp trail. This world-famous trail covers some of the beautiful landscapes, rivers and forests; long stretch of stone-cobbled track; a great view of Annapurna mountains; and the Annapurna Base Camp as well. Moreover, the view of the Annapurna, the Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, and other mountains in the Annapurna Range is ineffably beautiful. Hence, to sum it up, it wouldn’t be wrong nor unjustified to say that the Tharpu Peak climbing is one of the best adventure Nepal has to offer.
