Island Peak Climbing
Any aspiring mountain climbers need to start somewhere. A good beginning is cardinal to any novice mountaineers, as in many aspects of life, to build a confidence for future endeavours. One of such beginning could be the Island Peak climbing.
One of the moderately challenging peaks in the Himalayas, the Island Peak, also commonly known as Imja Tse, is naturally a famous peak amongst novice climbers and adventurous trekkers. Despite being a physically demanding climb, most people chose to scale this mountain because of its low requirement for technical sophistication. This is exactly why it aptly referred to as a ‘trekking peak’. The climbers trudge through this incredibly beautiful mountain for an equally scenic climb, savoring the extraordinarily beautiful sights of The Everest, The Lhotse, and the Makalu to reach the summit at impressive 6189 m. Apart from the climb itself, the climbers trek through the world-famous Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar trails making the expedition even more satisfying.
Island Peak expedition takes the climbers through the beautiful landscapes in the Great Himalayan Range and even provides an opportunity to scale one of its famous peaks. The climb, though difficult and some even unable to complete, is a fantastic experience; one that remains in memory for life. A worthwhile decision, with all things considered.
