Himalaya is "bae"

Jenn Williams
If you’re someone who loves the Himalayas, you’d be at loss if you do not trek to EBC at least once in life.

People keep on talking about tears of happiness and the moment I stepped on the bottom of Mount Everest I experienced it. Words are not enough to explain.

Mike Cooperstein
While the trek to Everest Base Camp was filled with amazing views, the climate however was somewhat hard to deal with as we’ve gone for the trek in the month of December. So, I would recommend trekkers to do enough research on the suitable time of the year for trekking as well as the clothing and other gears required.

2019 will be a year to remember. Thanks Nepal Calls You.

Helpful Sherpa guide made the journey easy.

Me and some of my friends trekked in the Everest region in the summer of 2015. We initially thought that the trek would be tough for us given the topography and climate, but with the help of our Sherpa and the rest of the trekking team, we made it to the base camp of Everest to witness the beauty of the white peaked mountains. Even the local Sherpa people were very kind, generous and helpful and gave us many tricks and tips on how to tackle with altitude sickness and stuff.

Celebrating Mani Rimdu, festival of Sherpa with locals in Namche Bazar. Wonderful People !!

We’ve been planning this trip for quite a while and it happened finally this October. The weather was perfect and the whole country was vibrant with various festivals. In Solukhumbu, we got to witness the colorful Mani Rimdu festival celebrated by the Sherpa community. To witness the fascinating dance of the deities while resting in the lap of Mt Everest is something only an EBC Trek can provide.

Amazing Trip

I went to Everest Base Camp this summer with my boyfriend and needless to say it was my best vacation ever. While the trekking itself wasn’t very tough, the views were to die for. It’s a surreal feeling to be surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the world.
Everest Base Camp Trek

Why Everest Base Camp Trek?

Everest Base Camp trek is the most fascinating, most enticing and one of the most beautiful trekking routes in the entire world: it is a journey to the top of the world, the Mount Everest, in the lap of the great Himalayas. It is perhaps the only trek that gives visitors a chance to not only imbibe the beauty of nature but also to experience the Nepalese and the Sherpa culture, traditions and warm hospitality of the people. Travel alongside the gurgling mountain rivers, through the valleys and rugged, pine-covered beautiful hills; through the myths and folklore of the bygone times; through the chimes from the bells of yaks and mules, and the howls of the cool Himalayan breeze—the only journey that fills visitors with a sense of accomplishment.

Trekking is moderately difficult: it is hard enough to just tire your muscle but easy enough for it to be completed by all able demographics. Food is homely and the people- their eternal cheerful faces are so placating, one can easily forget their past, present and future and truly immerse into nature like those romantic poets of the Victorian era. This 14-18 soon to be memorable days of your life will not only give the glimpse of the other side of the world, their culture, and their wonders but also the chance to know yourself, to truly understand the real liberation in this hectic world—the chance for cleansing one's soul.
