Why Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Some say it is the most famous trail in the entire world while other, a bit suspicious one, concede to the fact that it is at least a culturally sumptuous and diverse in nature; but no one, in their right mind, would argue if it is one of the beautiful treks to travel through. Particularly when a traveller can pass through beautiful terraced fields filled with oscillating, golden tipped rice paddies, the moss-covered oaks and rhododendron forests while listening to the murmur of the alpine river and finally reach the Annapurna Base Camp Trek at the foothills of the Mt. Annapurna—the experience, as described by the visitors with akin to mystical reverence, is heavenly!
Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the easier treks to complete with low elevations to cover and cobbled, terraced track (for the most part) to traverse through, not to mention the abundance of the teahouses through-out the trail. Here, age doesn’t matter and neither does “a peak physical fitness”. From a preteen child to an old person in their seventies, or even a mother with an infant for that matter could complete the trek without any signs of complications. Furthermore, it is also an ideal trek for those who are short on time but still have a desire to experience the unique Himalayan environment, culture and yes, the world-famous Gurung hospitality. It could simply be the experience of the lifetime!
